The joint-venture between Sasol Wax and Shell Germany was dissolved on 31.12.2007. Sasol Wax has taken over the 50% interest held by Shell. The entire operations of Merkur are integrated as new business unit Personal Care into Sasol Wax with effect from 01.04.2008. The well known trade names MERKUR, VARA and COX will continue to exist.

Due to this re-organisation Sasol Wax decided to concentrate their activities and we are glad to inform you, that on 01.01.2009 Kemtan has taken over the distribution of all former MERKUR products.
